This time Gruet is telling us about the Tour de France. The Giants of the road are riding up the Aubisque. Riding without wheel sometimes, lost in group in nature, discovering very strange things. Gruet, has put the cyclists in very frantic situations.
But the friend Gruet likes cyclists, and his caricature is not bad. We feel the tenderness in the style. "He has to be unhappy the little boy who hasnever dreamt to win the tour de France", said Jacques Grello. Gruet has put this sentence in his book, and we guess he's still this little boy.

The captions are not necessary in his drawings. We laugh a lot. The Humour is surprising, and if the stroke is exact, the Gruet's point of view is very up, not of the Aubisque, but of the overrealism. A real plaesure.
